Designed for seniors, this 4-week Wise Women’s Tea Series is customized to the experience level of its interested participants. It’s an introduction to plant nourishment and support through infusion method (dried herbs releasing their gifts into the water) of a selection of teas with herbalist Beth Christy Draper. Things women will learn about:
History/herstory of herbal use by women
The different ways we use herbs and the different forms herbs come in
Cautions, sensitivities and contraindications
Forms of enjoyment, engaging the senses
Different teas/plants and their wellness benefits
Listening to and trusting your body’s response
Building a nourishing self-care practice
Sharing with other women in a safe environment
Building relationships
The first week we will meet to introduce ourselves, drink tea, learn about the tea, and share experience levels and interest. Subsequent tea choices and course content will be custom designed based on participant’s input. Each week we will drink a different tea, learn, enjoy and talk about our experiences and the many health benefits that herbal teas have for us.
